Siemens Direct Audio Input Shoe for Siemens Signia Prompt SP BTE Hearing AidProduct description
Direct Audio Input Shoe
✔ Direct Audio Input (DAI) is a feature of which allows an external source to be directly connected as an input that bypasses the microphone.
✔ For example, a television, telephone, computer, CD player, microphone, ALS or ALD to be directly input to the hearing aid.
The DAI interfaces with the the aid through a special connection at the bottom end of the BTE and electrically connects the source to the aid through three tiny brass dots on the underside of the BTE.
✔ The signal is generally much improved because it goes directly into the hearing aid and bypasses the audio or magnetic interface that the hearing aid normally uses.
✔ At the bottom of the hearing aid, you have to snap on the shoe. This shoe usually snaps right on to the bottom of the aid where the battery door is.
✔ If you wear two hearing aids, you will need two boots.
✔ Improved reception of TV, Telephone, Computer and other Speaker Generated Sounds.
✔ Personalizing whom you hear.
✔ With Prompt SP, you can change the battery housing for an optional audio shoe. When there’s a lot of ambient sound, the speaker’s voice is streamed directly to your ears via a microphone.
